3 Nicaraguan rebel groups in political-military alliance
Three Nicaraguan rebel groups have formed a military and political alliance, the Nicaraguan Reconciliation Union, to battle the left-wing Sandinista government, it was announced here Tuesday.
Members of the alliance are the Costa Rica-based Revolutionary Democratic Alliance, the Honduras-based Nicaraguan Democratic Force, and Misura, which is formed by Miskito, Suma, and Rama Indians.
