Four House resolutions assail South African racial policies
The House overwhelmingly adopted by voice vote Tuesday four nonbinding resolutions condemning the South African government's racial separation policy. The resolutions call for immediate release of political prisoners Nelson and Winnie Mandela; oppose recognition of South African sovereignty over ''blackspot'' homelands; oppose the opening of additional honorary South African consulates in the United States; and urge freedom for Namibian (South-West African) prisoners held at military camp.
