'Sub' caught by Norwegians turns out to be plane wreck

A suspected submarine that was caught in the nets of a fishing boat off the west coast of Norway on Tuesday turned out to be an old plane wreck, the Norwegian Navy said yesterday. The Norwegian Air Force confirmed that metal fragments pulled up in the nets of the MS Start were from an old plane, not from a submarine. The probable remnant of a World War II plane may have appeared to be dragging the ship backward because of strong winds and currents the Navy said.
