Florida officials start burning citrus seedlings to halt canker

State agriculture officials said they would begin burning millions of seedling trees yesterday in as many as 50 nurseries and 150 groves. The contagious citrus canker has been confirmed in five citrus nurseries in widely scattered areas of the state, but so far it has not been found outside the nurseries. Growers' biggest concern is that it will be found in commercial groves.
