Rep. Lindy Boggs wins seventh term in Louisiana

Louisiana Rep. Lindy Boggs (D) won reelection Saturday to a seventh term, in a primary open to candidates in any party. Representative Boggs won 58 percent of the vote in a newly reapportioned Second District, where blacks made up 56 percent of the registered voters, over former Judge Israel Augustine, a black.
