Defector says Communist agents infiltrate Hong Kong
A Chinese defector alleged Monday that Peking had sent a large number of Communist Party activists to Hong Kong disguised as trade representatives. Lo Yu-Hsi, who defected to Taiwan last week, said the agents would run Hong Kong after 1997, when the British colony is due to become a special administrative region of China. Lo said he was general manager of a trading company in Hong Kong which he alleged was responsible for collecting intelligence and politically indoctrinating workers there.
