Hungarian leader visiting France

Hungarian leader Janos Kadar began a two-day visit to France yesterday, the first by an East European leader since Socialist President Francois Mitterrand came to power in 1981. Officials in Paris describe relations with Hungary as very good. Former French Prime Minister Pierre Mauroy, visiting Budapest last year, called Hungary ''a link in the center of our divided continent.''
