Strike in Iceland renewed as city workers reject offer

Public services in Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, ground to a halt again Monday after municipal workers decisively rejected a pay offer and rejoined a strike by the island's public employees.

Political sources said Prime Minister Steingrimur Hermannsson might be forced to call a general election if his right-wing government cannot settle the dispute, now in its fourth week.
