Philippines charging Ver, 25 others in Aquino murder

Prosecutors ordered the armed forces chief, Gen. Fabian Ver, and 25 other people to answer charges of double murder in the slaying of opposition leader Benigno Aquino and the man the military claims killed him, the Philippines News Agency reported. They are required to submit counter-affidavits within 10 days.

Meanwhile, in the National Assembly, 57 opposition legislators filed a resolution demanding that President Ferdinand E. Marcos resign for being ''morally, legally, and politically responsible'' for the assassination of Mr. Aquino.
