A General Dynamics strike is company's first in 38 years

Workers staged the first strike in 38 years Monday against General Dynamics, one of the country's top defense contractors. An International Association of Machinists local representing 6,500 workers in Texas walked out after a 5,000 -to-100 vote, in a contract dispute over wages and benefits. The Fort Worth plant turns out F-16 fighter planes for the government.
