Philippines Supreme Court to weigh whether Ver is tried

The Supreme Court said Tuesday it will hold a hearing tomorrow to decide whether to stop the government's ombudsman from prosecuting armed forces chief Fabian C. Ver and 25 others implicated in the Benigno Aquino assassination.

Meanwhile, the mother of Rolando Galman, who the military said killed Aquino, sought a writ of habeas corpus for her son's wife, who has been missing for nine months. Saturnina Galman's daughter-in-law Lina Lazaro is a key witness in the case.

Also, the presidential palace announced that President Ferdinand E. Marcos has decided to seek reelection in three years.
