Civilian casualties inevitable, Israeli says in massacre trial
Civilian casualties are a recurring tragedy of all wars, former Israeli Defense Minister Ariel Sharon testified Thursday in his $50 million libel suit against Time magazine.
Mr. Sharon took the witness stand for his second day of testimony in his federal lawsuit against Time Inc. over an article about the findings of an Israeli investigation into the 1982 massacre of hundreds of Palestinians in Lebanon.
