Ban on boxing to be sought by American medical group
The American Medical Association plans to lobby for legislation against professional and amateur boxing as ''a dangerous sport that ought to be outlawed ,'' said the AMA president, Dr. Joseph F. Boyle.
The AMA's House of Delegates has adopted by voice vote a resolution to work toward eliminating the sport and educating the American public about the hazards of boxing.
