Financial aid for US students rebounds, College Board says

Financial aid for college students, which fell sharply two years ago, has rebounded past the $18 billion mark once again, the College Board reported Thursday.

The figure includes grants, loans, subsidized jobs, and other help from all federal and state sources, as well as institutional aid. Almost 52 percent is in the form of loans, while grants account for 44.6 percent and work-related assistance, 3.7 percent.
