Kuwaiti pilot says rescue try earlier would have been risky
The captain of the hijacked Kuwaiti jet on which two Americans were killed said Wednesday that if Iran had acted to end the episode sooner, ''while there were still more hostages on board, it would have put more lives at risk.'' Interviewed from Kuwait on the NBC-TV ''Today'' show, John H. Clark said that he had felt ''nothing but humanity and compassion'' from Iranian authorities and that he did not think they had been in collusion with the hijackers.
