Lebanon Cabinet OKs plan to send Army to militia areas

The Lebanese Cabinet approved a long-delayed plan Wednesday to send troops down a militia-held coast road to Israel's front lines in south Lebanon and asked the Army to set a date for action.

But it was not clear if Druze and Christian militias fighting in the Kharroub region just north of Israeli-occupied territory had dropped all their objections to the plan, which has been revised repeatedly to meet conditions set by the rival militias.
