Correction

In Part 2, State-sponsored terrorism, a box identifying ``big offenders'' erroneously listed North Yemen (and displayed its flag). The item should have identified South Yemen, as was made clear in the text. The Monitor regrets the error. North Yemen is an isolated Middle East nation that charts a middle-of-the-road position in Arab affairs while maintaining fairly distant relations with both superpowers. North Yemen identifies itself with Arab nationalist positions and offered refuge to PLO fighters after their 1982 expulsion from Beirut. Although it receives some Soviet military aid and is critical of US support for Israel, North Yemen prefers assistance from Arab or Western sources.
