Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

In a column last month on ``no income verification'' or ``no documentation'' home mortgages, Sears Mortgage Corporation in Chicago was mentioned as one of the lenders offering these mortgages. Sears does not, in fact, offer this type of loan, though it does have a National Alternate Processing mortgage which can be processed more quickly.
