LACK OF SNOW KEEPS CALIFORNIA DRY

Drought poses a serious threat for California and the next month or two could be crucial to the state's water picture, the National Weather Service reported Tuesday. The snowpack in California is well below normal, posing the potential for significant water supply problems in the state this summer, said Michael D. Hudlow, director of hydrology for the weather service.
