MAIN STREET MEETING IN TEXAS

Downtown revitalization is the focus of the 1989 National Town Meeting on Main Street taking place Feb. 27 to March 1 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas. This third annual conference, with a theme of ``Main Street at Work,'' is sponsored by the National Main Street Center and the Texas Historical Commission, Texas Main Street Project. Leaders from more than 500 organizations nationwide will attend workshops, lectures, and discussion groups on topics from design to fund raising to historic preservation.

The meeting will be followed by 14 regional conferences and workshops to be held in cities around the country throughout the year, culminating in the April 1990 National Town Meeting on Main Street in Sacramento, Calif.
