CASTRO UPHOLDS DEATH SENTENCES ON OFFICERS

Cuba's ruling Council of State headed by President Fidel Castro confirmed death sentences for one of Cuba's top heroes and three other officers convicted of drug trafficking. Ten other military officers were convicted in the case and sentenced to terms ranging from 10 to 30 years in prison.
