To Laugh

It is not a frivolous thing to laugh. It is not abdicating seriousness. Some of the most serious people laugh a lot. Seriousness in itself is no virtue. It all depends on what we are serious about, and I believe that we cannot care deeply about truly serious matters unless we are able to laugh at absurdities.
