NATIONS SEEK TO HELP FINLAND

The shadow, not of Stalin but of Hitler, loomed over the League of Nations today as negotiations in progress behind the formalities of the opening season of the Assembly moved steadily toward stern condemnation of Soviet Russia's attack on Finland. . . .But apart from this recommendation and moral support, nothing concrete is expected to be done to help the beleaguered Finns.
