LEBANESE CHRISTIANS CONTINUE SHELLING

Artillery batteries on site of one of Lebanon's biggest fuel reserve depots, setting oil storage tanks ablaze in east Beirut after four days of bombardment in an inter-Christian war in which at least 175 people have been killed and 900 wounded. The sixth cease-fire in three days between Gen. Michel Aoun's forces and the Lebanese Forces militia had turned within minutes Saturday into a storm of destruction remarkable even for Beirut.
The inter-Christian fighting erupted last Wednesday when the general demanded that the Lebanese Forces surrender its arms and disband in a bid to take full control of Lebanon's Christian enclave.
