WORK TRIPS THRIVED IN 80s

Business travel increased 50 percent in the 1980s. Last year, it rose 10 percent, according to a survey of business travelers by US Travel Data Center. The survey by the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization showed an increase in business travel from 103.6 million trips in 1983 to 155.6 million in 1988.
