RECYCLING GAINS RAPIDLY

More than three-quarters of more than 2,000 organizations surveyed are recycling, according to a survey of facility managers by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). Of those businesses, local governments, or institutions (such as hospitals) that are recycling, 35 percent initiated programs within the past year, and 59 percent within the past two years.

The survey of IFMA members also found that organizations with more than 1,000 employees were more likely to recycle - 79 percent compared with 66 percent for those with fewer than 100 employees.
