US EMPLOYERS CONTINUE TO PAY RESERVISTS

While there are no legal requirements for salary continuation for employees called to active duty as part of Operation Desert Shield, 77 percent of the 182 US employers responding to a recent survey by Buck Consultants are offering at least some salary for a certain period of time Fifty-six percent of the employers will pay the difference between military and civilian pay, 16 percent will continue full civilian pay, and 5 percent will continue to pay in some other manner.
