PAID HOLIDAYS SURVIVE THE RECESSION

Even though many companies are downsizing their work force during the recession, they are not cutting back on the number of paid holidays for their workers, according to a survey by Business & Legal Reports Inc. About half of the 4,000 companies surveyed said they provide 10 to 12 paid days off each year. Government and retail industries give the highest number of paid holidays.
