EUROPEAN COSMETICS FIRM ENTERS US MARKET

Lancaster Group AG, one of Europe's largest cosmetics and fragrance companies, is planning to enter 21 markets in the United States.Davidoff Cool Water, Lancaster's top-selling men's fragrance in Europe, is the first product line to be marketed in the US. Since its introduction in 1988, Davidoff has developed a retail business of $200 million in Europe. Lancaster will spend $5 million on the launch of the product in 1991.
