CHURCH EDITOR SLOTS FILLED

Mary Trammell of Boston and Russ Gerber of San Luis Obispo, Calif., have been appointed associate editors of the religious periodicals of the Christian Science Church, the Christian Science Board of Directors said March 2.

Mrs. Trammell and Mr. Gerber join William Moody, who was appointed editor Feb. 29, and Nathan Talbot, who will serve temporarily as senior executive editor.

The appointments follow the resignations last week of the religious periodicals' editor, Allison Phinney Jr., and three associate editors, Michael Rissler, Ann Kenrick, and Elaine Natale.

Trammell will move to the new position from her job as manager of the church history department of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, headquartered here. Gerber was involved with the establishment of the domestic and international shortwave radio programs of the Christian Science Publishing Society.
