CORPORATE LEGAL BUDGETS TO BE CUT

In 1992, corporate legal departments will face significant downsizing pressures.

Legal departments in 23 percent of the nation's 1,000 largest companies will experience budget cuts this year, according to a survey by Craig Consulting Company of New York, Economic Analysis Group of Washington, D. C., and Endispute Inc. of Cambridge, Mass.

Corporate legal departments plan to reduce expenditures on outside legal fees as their primary source of savings.
