Sunlight on red roofs Of Anatolian villages Shepherds, each with his dog Guarding their flocks Of sheep. Sunlight on Roman ruins And Greek figures Lying sidewise in a wall In the old section Of Ankara. Sunlight on Hittite lions Guarding the grand mausoleum Of Turkey's soldier and savior First president of the republic Of Turkey.
