A statement in a July 8 Page 1 story about aiding Russia needs to be clarified. The ruble stabilization fund, run by the International Monetary Fund, will provide financial support so the Russian currency can be fixed at a certain, though still undetermined, exchange rate. In an article appearing July 1, Canada's largest women's advocacy organization was misidentified; it is the National Action Committee on the Status of Women.
