PAY INCREASES WILL REMAIN ABOVE INFLATION

For the second year, salary increases in the United States will be ahead of inflation, according to the Conference Board's annual salary survey.

The survey of 587 companies shows that overall, pay increases will run around 5 percent both this year and in 1993.

The Board forecasts that the Consumer Price Index will rise by 3.3 percent in 1992 and 4.1 percent in 1993.
