COMPANIES LACK FAX POLICIES

A recent 1992 Gallup Organization study of fax usage among Fortune 500 companies reveals that two-thirds of these firms do not have fax policies and guidelines.

The study, commissioned by Pitney Bowes Facsimile Systems Division, said 83 percent of Fortune 500 fax users had never been formally trained to operate their fax machine.

Only 32 percent of daily fax users knew how much it cost to send a fax from their machine.
