E for Environment: An Annotated Bibliography of Children's Books With Environmental Themes (R.R. Bowker, 292 pp., $39.95), by Patti K. Sinclair, will be of special interest to teachers, home schoolers, librarians, and some parents. It covers a wide range of material, from picture books that help instill in young readers a sense of wonder at the natural world, on through meatier nonfiction and fiction for older children. Appendixes include author, title, and subject indexes, as well as a list of environme ntal classics for older students and adults.
