SALES OF VIDEO PRODUCTS ARE STRONG
| WASHINGTON
Total unit sales of video products, such as camcorders and laser disc players, rose 32 percent in July above the same period last year, according to the Consumer Electronics Group of the Electronic Industries Association. The strong performance last month came despite sagging consumer confidence.
Sales of camcorders reached nearly 260,500 units in July, up 47 percent from 1991. Sales of laser disc players were up 29 percent from the same period in 1991.
