| ELMWOOD PARK, N.J.
In 1992, 82 percent of all US households have at least one person involved in crafts or hobbies, up from 77 percent in 1990, according to a study by Hobby Industries of America.
The study shows that growth areas were floral arranging and fashion-fabric painting and decorating. Needlecraft remained the No. 1 craft or hobby. On average, a person spends about eight hours per week on a craft or hobby.
