ARTHUR MILLER'S `THE LAST YANKEE' PREMIERES

* One of the titans of American drama brings his play "The Last Yankee" to New York's Manhattan Theater Club tonight. It tells the story of two couples who meet when the wives become patients at a mental hospital.

"The Last Yankee" is not Miller's latest play. His more recent work, "Gellburg," is scheduled to open on Broadway sometime next season. He also chose to bypass Broadway entirely for the world premiere of "The Ride Down Mount Morgan," which opened in London in 1991.
