Italy, US Drug Raid Arrests Traffickers
MORE than 100 people were arrested in Italy and the United States yesterday in an international crackdown on drug trafficking, Italian police said. The arrests were carried out in central and southern Italy and Sicily and in Italian-American communities in Florida and New York.
A top official of the Federal Bureau of Investigations was in Italy to help direct the operation, which has been described as the largest joint drug effort in recent years.
