Various artists - Follow That Road (Philo): There's something for just about everyone with a taste for folk music on this two-CD set, Christine Lavin's compilation of performances from a songwriters' retreat on Martha's Vineyard. Many of the performances, taped live at a Vineyard coffee house, are outstanding: Frank Christian's ``From My Hands''; Kate Taylor's ``Flying in the Face of Mr. Blue''; and Jonathan Edwards' various contributions among them. The compilation serves as a fine introduction to a variety of artists who deserve wider recognition, and as a sort of a snapshot of the state of the folk scene.
