FOLK/COUNTRY. The Chieftans - The Long Black Veil (RCA Victor): The. world's foremost practitioners of Irish music, fresh from their third Grammy Award, return with their latest release. As is the custom now, there are lots and lots of guest stars: Sting, Mick Jagger (solo) and the Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Sinead O'Connor, Marianne Faith-full, Tom Jones, and guitarists Mark Knopfler and Ry Cooder. The music includes both Irish traditional and contemporary songs, both vocal and instrumental, as well as British and country western songs. Highlights include Jagger's performance of the title track, Faithfull's smoky ``Love Is Teasin,' '' and Jones's impassioned delivery of ``The Tennessee Waltz.''
