WHITE - (R, Miramax). The second part of Krzysztof Kieslowski's trilogy, which also includes ``Blue'' and ``Red,'' is a love story with a dark yet humorous side. Karol (Zbigniew Zamachowski) plays a hairdresser who is deeply in love with his wife, who unexpectedly divorces him. After he loses his wife, his car, and his business, he returns to his Polish homeland. There, he conjures up a revengeful plan to get his former wife back. The ending is surprising and unfulfilling; the uncertainties leave the viewer yearning for more. The film is in Polish and French with English subtitles. (June 10, 1994)
