In a March 22, Page 1 story, racist comments were attributed to the wrong source because of an error in the UN translation of an official's title. According to the UN, the remarks were made by the president of the county of Osijek-Baranja, Branimir Glavas, not the mayor of the town of Osijek, Zlatko Kramaric. Both men deny making any racist statements, but UN officials stand by their statement to the Monitor that Mr. Glavas did.
