WORTH NOTING ON TV

THURSDAY

Rebirth: the Untold Stories of Oklahoma City (ABC, 10-11 p.m.): This special, one of a number commemorating the anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, follows what has happened to several families in Oklahoma City. The first part of the program dwells on the bombing itself - and includes some graphic footage - but the remainder of the program unfolds touching stories of progress made and challenges still to face.

SATURDAY

Setting the Agenda: Indecision '96 (Comedy Central, 11 p.m.-12 midnight): Bill Maher hosts this lighter look at the 1996 elections. Taped at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colo., the program features such comedians as Margaret Cho and Jack Cohen.

SUNDAY

The Ultimate Guide ... T. REX (Discovery, 9-10 p.m.): "The Ultimate Guide," a new series profiling animals, premieres with this look at Tyrannosaurus rex. Using special effects similar to those in "Jurassic Park," the program re-creates the world of dinosaurs and features commentary from paleontologists.

MONDAY

Earth Day at Walt Disney World (Disney, 8-9 p.m.): John Travolta, Melanie Griffith, Ted Danson, and other celebrities explore practical steps people can take to protect rain forests and the ozone layer and combat acid rain and pollution.

Murder One (ABC, 9-11 p.m.): This freshman drama, which has followed the twists and turns of the ongoing murder case known as the "Goldilocks" trial, wraps up the season with a movie tonight and a one-hour finale Tuesday at 10 p.m. The show promises to reveal all.

MTV Unplugged (MTV, 10-11 p.m.): If pop rockers Hootie & the Blowfish seem ubiquitous now, just wait until "Fairweather Johnson," their follow-up album to the smash "Cracked Rear View," is released April 23. This sneak peek at their new tunes was taped at the band's alma mater, the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
