How do we look?

The Monitor is publishing this photo as part of an industry-wide contest on newspaper printing quality. The image was provided to us by the Inland Press Association of Des Plaines, Ill. Our reproduction of it will be judged by how faithful it is to the original slide. Other criteria include registration (out-of-register photos look blurry and have 'halos' of color around them) and 'pressmanship' (cleanliness of print and general appearance). Winners will be announced by early March.
