Learning more on apartheid
| CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA
The University of Connecticut and the African National Congress agreed this week to archive papers on the ANC's struggle for human rights in South Africa - including official documents and Nelson Mandela's personal correspondence - that scholars worldwide can start accessing. As part of the agreement, the University of Connecticut and the University of Fort Hare, South Africa, plan to hold annual conferences and produce a journal on comparative human rights. Researchers will create an oral history and develop a cross-cultural human-rights curriculum for United States and South African students. For more information: www.lib.uconn.edu/doddcenter
