Love or war? That's the question readers faced in our Oscar poll when we asked you to cast your ballot for your favorite 1999 Academy Awards nominees. After tallying about 700 votes, the World War II movie "Saving Private Ryan" came out as your clear winner for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor. "Shakespeare in Love" won two of the seven categories we asked you about.
