Kids just wanna get involved

A two-year study finds promising signs of community involvement among American youth. The group Do Something commissioned the study, which surveyed 1,000 people ages 15 to 29. It found:

*73 percent think their efforts can positively affect a community.

*37 percent have volunteered in the past year.

*Kids who hear about a civic group from someone they know are three times more likely to volunteer than other kids.
