After a winter of cold and neglect, it's time for lawns to make their annual spring comeback. Once the grass starts thriving, make sure your lawnmower is ready to tackle the trims.

Here's some advice from the experts on tuning up your lawnmower:

*Always disconnect the spark plug before beginning maintenance.

*Change the spark plug and air filter.

*Drain the crankcase and refill it with high-quality oil.

*Fill tank with fresh gasoline; fuel deteriorates after 30 days.

*Be sure to consult your mower's operating manual.
